spacing problems.

    Something weird is going on with the spacing on my post. It looks okay in the dashboard/edit but then when I save it, it eliminates the spacing and runs all of the paragraphs together. Please help! This is on thedesignmayor.wordpress.com.

    You need to switch the editor to Text (=code) and delete all of these:
    <div>
    and all of these:
    </div>

    This probably happened because you copypasted content from another source such as Word. Never copypaste from other sources directly into the Visual editor: it introduces wrong code that messes things up. When you need to paste, paste into the Text editor.

    I pointed out the copypaste business because it’s a common error and the most common reason for the problem you had. But it’s not the only reason: if you didn’t copypaste into the Visual editor, you certainly did something wrong that disabled the regular formatting, which is normally set to Paragraph (so each time you pressed enter, the editor entered divs instead of regular paragraphs). You’ll never have this problem if you type in the Text editor. If you type in the Visual editor, make sure the Format tool (row 2 tool 1) is always set to Paragraph.

    Actually, I think that using the spell check set it off. I have never used the spell check before & did this time & things went wonky. Anyway, your advice cleared it up and for that I am very grateful. Thank you.
