Site renders like on a tablet the first time it loads

    Hi all.
    I’m experiencing a strange problem on my site. The first time I load it from a new browser-window, the site loads in something that kinda looks like the tablet view in a normal desktop browser – with large white columns on each side. It’s not quite the tablet-view though, as some widgets not visible on the tablet/mobile-sites still show etc – but the styling is all off. At the end of the site (which does not load completely), it says ‘There has been a critical error on your site’.

    The strange thing is, that this only happens on some loads, and normally, if I reload the site again, the correct site loads.

    I haven’t done anything radical to the site in recent time, and it worked fine until yesterday. I did however update WooCommerce from 3.9 to 4.1 (I think it was), but this problem is on my front-page, so I wouldn’t think that it has to do with that?

    Any thoughts, ideas or recommendations before I roll back the WooCommerce update?

    Hi Lars –

    The site mentioned does not use our managed hosting environment from WordPress.com. Instead, it’s set up on the open source WordPress.org software which is something different.

    But, if your site is self-hosted and built using the WordPress.org open software, you’ll need to seek assistance from their forums which can be found at:
