Set up help system reference is not found in referenced location

there is no ‘front page displays’ option under ‘reading’
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
You must be logged in as Admin under the username account that registered the blog. Then you will see what I see:
Settings > Reading
Reading SettingsFront page displays
_Your latest posts
A static page (select below)

I’m sorry, I don’t get it. Help doesn’t reference a separate Admin log in. I get dashboard. I get Settings >> Reading. I get to change settings. But the first choice is “Blog Posts to show at most 10” and no where on the page is the referenced “Front Page Displays” option.
Is there a separate admin?
Your help is much appreciated.

Are you the person with the username account that registered the blog in question? If you are then you ought to be able access exactly what I posted above. Please post screenshot, upload it to your Media Library, and return to this thread to provide the file name so Staff can examine it. I’ll tag this thread for their assistance. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Good deal. Thanks
The file is screen shot 2013 – 07 – 27 and it is of http://jeffgilman.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php
It shows what it shows but there is nothing about front page display options below the ‘fold’.

Hi jeffgilman, I see that you have not yet published any posts or pages on your blog. Once you have published your first post and page, you will be able to adjust the “Front Page Displays” option as described here: Reading Settings
If you have any questions about this, please let me know!

Thank you. That was it. I’m not sure the instructions, however, are declarative that both pages and blogs must actually be published before the development work can be started.
Best regards -
Thanks for the feedback! I updated the Reading Settings support page to clarify that blogs need at least one page for this setting to appear.
