Server keeps disconnecting

    Hi,

    Myself and a friend run http://www.rlnews.co.uk which is run through wordpress. It’s using the free package and the major plug in we use is jetpack.

    Every now and again the version of wordpress along with the jetpack plug in need updating otherwise we get a red exclamation mark on the side bar whenever we try to generate any content as there is no connection to the server I believe the site runs off.

    This has not been an issue at all until the middle of last week when we updated the plugins as prompted but now we keep getting the same disconnect coming up sporadically all through the day.

    An example today was I visited wordpress to generate some posts at 7am, 12pm, 5pm and 7pm and every single time I have been unable to generate anything due to the wordpress not being connected and therefore not saving anything I write. In the meantime between those times, fortunately my friend has managed to get a few bits on, due to how sporadic it seems to be.

    I wonder if someone can explain what the underlying issue is, as at the moment the seemingly random yet persistent nature of this issue is causing a lot of frustration.

    Any advice would be welcome.
