Self Hosted Blog/Web Site Appears on WordPress.com

  • I have developed a WordPress driven web site using the BlueHost hosting server. I can login to this server OK to edit my web site/pages. I did not ever host this site on WordPress.com. However, I do have a WordPress.com account from several years ago that I keep for development purposes. When I login to my WordPress.com account, I see a “blog” listed there with the old URL of the BlueHost temp domain (which was changed when the permanent domain was registered in January). When I try to “login” to this blog, none of my usernames/passwords are recognized. So:

    1. How did this blog entry get on WordPress.com?
    2. How can I delete it so I can delete my WordPress.com account completely?

    Thank you kindly,
    Marvin Pankaskie

  • The Jetpack plugin makes a connection with your WordPress.com to supercharge your blog with neat features. You can read more about this at http://jetpack.me

If you’re not using Jetpack anymore I’d be happy to remove the connection for you.

    Looking forward to your reply.
