  • ccTLD’s (country code top-level domains like .se) cannot be registered through WordPress.com. However, you can register ccTLD’s through a third-party registrar and then map it to your blog with our Domain Mapping upgrade.

With certain domains, like .se and other non-US domains, your registrar may require us to add a “Zone Record” on the WordPress.com servers before the name servers can be updated. Once you purchase your domain, let us know what it is and we will add a zone record.

After we add a zone record, you can map your custom domain to your WordPress.com blog with our Domain Mapping upgrade.
