RSS Widget – links not working unless logged in

    Hi and HELP!
I have a blog that is connected to my wordpress site. It’s been there for a long time and worked fine until recently (I probably did some sort of update that broke it). My RSS feed shows fine on the site…but, the links don’t work. I’ve tried several browsers. The only time the links work is if I am logged in to the back end of the site, then go to the page via browser.

I tried to change the settings in “widgets for shortcodes”, but changing the settings didn’t help. When I selected “default” under “display type/optional”, it did put the links back in but made the images tiny. I had to move it back to “images only”.

    Can anyone solve my mystery?

Unfortunately you failed to post the most important thing for getting accurate support and it is the URL of the site in question.

To save you time you can type the actual URL of the site you are referring to into to determine who hosts the site so you know where to post for support.

You could be posting to the wrong support forum. To be clear we do not provide support for local installs of WordPress.ORG software, or for WordPress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, linked to WordPress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites WordPress.COM account page.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here

The wordpress.ORG support forum is at The wordpress.ORG login link is here If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? support docs are at
