Reset Theme to Default Settings

Hi! I have completely painted myself into a corner with my theme :-) Is there anyone who can help me resetting the theme to it’s default?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It looks like this site was deleted: aldermansite.wordpress.com

If there is another site you’d like reset, please provide a link to it and make sure it’s running the theme you want.

There are two options:

1 – Before adding demo content, the tool can first remove all your existing content, including posts, pages, widgets, menus, comments, etc. This cannot be undone.

OR

2 – The tool can add demo content in addition to your existing content. This may result in some duplicates that you can then delete on your own.

Please confirm the site and let me know which option you prefer.

I’m having the exact same problem today. I jut got started and uploaded a theme and I can’t just reset everything back to a fresh start?

ryediggs – our reset tool is not available for themes you uploaded yourself, only for themes in the WordPress.com collection. If you need further help, please contact live chat support here, or start a new thread. Thanks.

@robc001 – The theme reset tool is only available to Staff and as @kathrynwp mentioned, is only available on some themes. WordPressdotcom users need to request to have their theme reset.
