I reported a page for abuse and I haven’t gotten an email back whether or not it will be taken down. How long does this usually take?
Staff provide support for millions of bloggers. I’m sorry but Staff have a considerable backlog of threads tagged for their attention.They work through them in chronological order based on datestamps and timestamps by working their way forward from the earliest to the most recent.
How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each thread and ticket are are.

How long will it take for the action to be taken if warranted? Because the article is still there and my life is still a bit of a living hell
We do not have a time frame to offer you. There is a backlog and Staff deal with all reports in chronological order in accord with their date stamps.
