renew button missing for my domain

  • Hi there,

I recently reactivated my blog after a hiatus and went to renew my domain name, but the button to do so is missing on the My Upgrades page. It told me to contact Support if this has happened, so here I am.

    Thanks for your assistance!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • You must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username that registered the blog and purchased the domain to access > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades and renew it.

I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  • Thanks for the info – unfortunately that person is not an admin anymore, is it possible to transfer responsibility to another user?

  • yes the ownership can be transferred from on person / account to another person / account

But the transfer must be started / done by the owner of the upgrade – for all of the upgrades EXCEPT Domain Name Registration there are sort of workarounds – (an upgrade such as domain mapping can be allowed to expire then purchased by another account) – but because of the way domain name registration expires that is not a valid option to let the registration expire

you need to work with the domain name owner to transfer the ownership – they can also log in here and using small clear words ask for the domain name registration to be transferred from abc account to def account

  • Hi araymondjohnson,

I would be happy to help transfer the domain to another account, but as auxclass mentioned we do need the current domain owner to confirm that request. You can ask that person to reply here to confirm the domain name and the user they want to transfer it to. If you have any questions about this, please let me know!
