  I want to create a page to host a map and I’d like to use the whole width of the main body, without the sidebar. Is there any way to remove the sidebar on a specific page, without losing my widgets elsewhere on the blog?

  No. That would require access to the underlying theme files which we do not have access to. My suggestion is to put a thumbnail or medium image and then link it to the full-sized image and tell people to click on the image.

  No can do as far as your blog is not self hosted.
