remove "Recent Post" from Twenty Eleven Static Showcase
-
I just purchased the custom design upgrade. I want to delete the “Recent Posts” on the bottom of the homepage. What can I put in the CSS Stylesheet editor to make that happen? Also, why don’t I see the individual css files on the CSS Stylesheet editor page?
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You don’t need the CSS upgrade to do that. Just go to Dashboard->Appearance->Widgets, put a widget in the footer, save, take the widget out again, save, and that should wipe out ALL widgets in your footer.

thanks for your help…however I don’t think the “Recent Posts” is in the footer. I have 3 ‘Footer Areas” in the widgets page. I tried your solution in all 3 of those boxes and “Recent Posts” remains. Any other insight?!
Tks!

Hmm, thanks for the update. In that case, it may be built into the theme, in which case yes, you’d need the CSS upgrade to hide it. But I’m afraid CSS isn’t my field.

helped me a lot too. Much Thanks!
bboyles: You replaced the main header-tite by an image (?) “York County Ag + Art Tour”. Can you give me a hint how you did this?
My problem is that within WordPress => Settings => General => Site Title I’m only able to enter text in textfield. How to put some “art” at the top of the page?Greetings from Germany

Bboyles has a custom design upgrade and has used TypeKit Fonts to achieve that change in font style.
