Hello!
This can be done by adding this CSS to your site:
.home .entry-header { display: none; }
Hope that helps!
For more information on how to add CSS, see this support document: https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/
Thanks!

worked a treat thank you!
I pressume if I want to remove headings from other pages I change the word home to the heading of other pages?
Or does home work for this particular command because it’s set as the Home page?

No problem :)
If you delete the .home, it will apply it to your entire site. To target other specific pages, you will need to find that page’s unique ID and use that instead of .home. For example, this will disable it specifically on your About page:
.page-id-42 .entry-header { display: none; }
You can find the ID when you are editing a specific page and the number will show in your address bar. The bottom of this support document shows you how to find the id: https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/pages-widget/
