Refund of domain fee

    I just cancelled my domain – I see a confirmation of that from you but no word on the refund. I took action on this within 24 hours of seeing it on my bank statement – you did not send me a confirmation email on Jan 1 when the payment went through. Please confirm you will refund the $20. thank you

    Hey there, the domain automatically refunds if it’s new. Not so much for older domains: once they’re cancelled they go into an extensive redemption process and can be difficult to get back. You would not just be able to register it elsewhere.

    If you don’t need it for anything else, let us know and we can refund it fully.

    If you want to use the domain elsewhere, we can restore it to your account, then you can transfer it to another provider.

    Just let us know one way or the other soon so we can either process that refund, or have a chance to restore before it goes into redemption (which is costly.)
