Reblog and 'liking tool'
-
Hi I noticed someone else on wordpress had a widget to like a post and ‘reblog’ it, with numerous people’s pictures beside it who had done the same. I was just wondering if you could tell me which one this is?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

All support docs are at https://en.support.wordpress.com/
Search for likes https://en.support.wordpress.com/likes/
Results https://en.support.wordpress.com/likes/re: like button use
Just like any other place with a like button, for example, Facebook, one has to register a username account and be logged in to be able to use it. All that’s required to register a WordPress.COM account is a valid email address. And many of us do not choose to activate like buttons on our sites. https://en.support.wordpress.com/likes/If you assume that like button clicks are an accurate and true reflection of engagement with your content then you are not aware of how many like button spammers there are. They click the like buttons on other sites for traffic driving purposes ie. simply so visitors will click their gravatars and visit their sites.
Bottom line: The value of a like button click in no way compares to the value of a thoughtful comment.

Note that what I posted above applies ONLY to sites hosted by wordpress.COM like http://lbartlett3.wordpress.com/
It does not apply to the site you revealed in the other thread https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/getting-shares-and-reocurring-readers?replies=2#post-2784110 as that site is not hosted by wordpress.com.

Thank you for your response. I am sorry for posting to the wrong place, but I think your tone could be a little less condescending. Not everyone is as lucky to understand everything. My original question was a simple and I don’t think completely unreasonable, even if it was misplaced. I, in no way, stated it was a true reflection of valuable content, I was just curious. Certainly no need to be rude on either of my posts on the thread.

I answered your original question politely and correctly. I was neither rude not condescending.
