I would like to embed my radionomy stream widget into the side bar, but when adding via a TEXT widget – the code provided gets edited by wordpress when i save, and doesn’t display.
Here is the code:
<object width=”240″ height=”300″><param name=”allowscriptaccess” value=”always” /><param name=”movie” value=”http://static.radionomy.com/cdn/flash/BannerEmbed.swf?RadUID=e71bca24-e194-47da-928c-6abe3a9c1aad&titlesColor=ffffff&color=7d7d7d&autoPlay=no&lang=en” /><param name=”wmode” value=”transparent” /><embed src=”http://static.radionomy.com/cdn/flash/BannerEmbed.swf?RadUID=e71bca24-e194-47da-928c-6abe3a9c1aad&titlesColor=ffffff&color=7d7d7d&autoPlay=no&lang=en” wmode=”transparent” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” allowscriptaccess=”always” width=”240″ height=”300″></embed></object>
END
so how can i put this into the sidebar? The blog I need help with is: soundquake.wordpress.com
That Flash embed code will not work on a WordPress.COM blog. We have code restrictions.

Hi Timethief, understood, but I am still no closer to adding even the stream into the sidebar.
I’d be happy to use a wordpress tool or widget to just pick up the steam for the audio which is http://listen.radionomy.com/soundquakesystems.m3uany idea how I can achieve this? I’m not a coder and couldn’t even tell if there was flash code within the code i entered.
You can use this workaround:
https://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/07/22/gigya-shortcode-3-widgets/per example:
[gigya src="http://static.radionomy.com/cdn/flash/BannerEmbed.swf" width="240" height="300"]
@galois
I was hesitant about posting that link because some have reported that the gigya code shortcode workaround no longer works for them.@soundquake: look here to see the flash working well

TT: maybe for the https:// problem?
Maybe but I cannot say for sure.
thanks folks, interesting
Yep, the problem with the https:// again!
Sorry.I must adimit i’m still not there…or entirely with you!
I do hate to ask, but could either of you ‘do the leg work’ and provide me with piece of code that would be a good solution? It’s rather cheeky to request, but i’m baffled by this
thanks for your time anyway
