Q's about using custom plugins & themes on the business plan

I know it’s not fully rolled out yet, but I’d consider moving sites to .com due to the the recent changes to the business plan.
Just a few questions:
Updates:
If a user has installed a theme or plugin that’s available from WP.org, will they have to update it manually, or are updates pushed automatically?Code:
Are there defined restrictions on what plugins and themes can’t do, such as modifying the post edit screen, like Beaver Builder and Make by The Theme Foundry do?Licensing:
Can users install products that are not 100% GPL, like split licensed themes from Envato/Themeforest?Thanks :)
