Publishing Interface Question
-
When I am working on a post in the block editor in a desktop browser, the “save draft” and “publish” buttons are in the upper right of the screen. However, whenever I click one of these options, the “growl”-type confirmation notification (“view post”) appears all the way across the screen, in the lower left, and sometimes disappears before I get a chance to click it.
Why?
It seems to me that “situational awareness” would be improved for publishers if the confirmation message were placed in close proximity to the button(s) that triggered it.
P.S., I’m an infrequent poster here, so I apologize if I’m posting this question in the wrong place. Please school me. ;-) And thank you in advance for considering this question.

Hey there! It does sound like you may have meant to share it at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ since this is with WordPress rather than something specific to the sites hosted here.
But this is good feedback. Something closer to the top would likely make more sense. You might even consider filing an enhancement request in Github if you’re comfortable with that:
