Publicizing to Facebook
-
Hello, I have the Publicize function set up for Facebook. Over about the past month, when I publicize, the thumbnail picture that comes up is my gravatar and not the picture on my post. This is annoying as I write a food blog. There is no choice of thumbnails – just the gravatar. I don’t know what’s changed as it wasn’t happening until recently. I have tried finding the answer in the FAQs and in the Publicize instructions. I have disconnected and reconnected Publicize but I still have the same problem. I’ve also checked my settings. Can you help? I am managing by deleting the image and manually uploading the photo I want, but this isn’t the best presentation of the post on Facebook, and it also limits my ability to share the post on Facebook.

Hello ,
I’m sorry but we cannot help with this. We have no control over the images that Facebook chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.
