Publicize stopped working

    Publicize stopped working since last month, regardless if it’s Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.
    When I go Edit Post, check those boxes at Publicize and click Update. Then I go back to check Edit Post and those boxes got unchecked again. I’ve tried re-connecting and on different computer but still no luck. Wondering if there’s something wrong with my blog.

    Hi there – We received another report of this, and we’re trying to figure out the cause. Next time you publish a new post, can you please verify that the boxes are checked when you first click publish?

    What exactly happens then?

    Thanks a lot for your reply.

    I’ve been using Windows Live Writer for posting blogs for a long time. Before, when I publish it automatically publicize onto my Facebook and LinkedIn, but now it doesn’t.

    And when I Edit Post on the website, those boxes next to Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter are all un-checked for some reason. I’ve tried re-checking and it didn’t work as I’ve mentioned above.

    Since it’s happening to all the websites I’ve connected to (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+), I’m wondering if there’s something wrong internally at WordPress.

    Hi Sean – Thanks for the details, they are helping us as we look into this. We’ve had a few reports of it, but it’s not happening for everyone and we haven’t been able to reproduce it. I’m not able to reproduce the problem using an offline editor (similar to Windows Live Writer). I’ll keep you posted when I have more information about this.

    Thanks for the reply. Next time I’m going to try posting directly through web to see if it works. Will report back.

    Hope you guys can figure out where the problem is. I really love using Window Live Writer and don’t want to give it up.

    Hi Sean – Please let me know if that fixes it for you. I don’t really think it has to do with Windows Live Writer, but if you find it makes a difference, that would help us troubleshoot. :)

    I’ve just tried posting directly from the website and it worked!
    Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+ all got posted.

    Now it seems like a Windows Live Writer’s issue… I really hope there’s some way to fix it though since I really love that program…

    I’m sure you hate “me too” postings, but I’m having the same problem. I just set up my WordPress blog (moved from Blogger) and when I posted my first article from Live Writer, there was no tweet, no facebook post, no Google+ post. Since that’s one of the reasons I switched to WordPress in the first place, I’m a bit disappointed. Just adding this message so I can click the “notify me of followup posts”
