Problems with Category Page Plugin

I am having issues getting Category Page Plugin to work. The links to their support forum are not working.
http://pixline.net/wordpress-plugins/category-page-wordpress-plugin/en/Part of the instructions say to edit the archives.php theme, but the problem is my theme looks nothing like the one mentioned here on this forum: http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthread.php?t=177
I don’t even have the line of code in my file that he says to edit.I am really needing to have the ability to populate a page with a certain category. It seems like this should be SO easy, but it’s taking up my entire afternoon. Please help. Thanks.

Also, my file is titled archives.php, not archive.php I don’t even have an archive.php file

Sorry, you are in the wrong forum and need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as that is where self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG are supported. We cannot use plugins here at wordpress.COM, so we know very little about them.
