Domain forwarding will not work as our .wordpress.com sites are not on permanent IP addresses. When the IP change the forwarded URLs will break.

OK thank you. So if I upgrade my membership, do they provide me a fixed IP or something?

If you purchase an upgrade domain mapping will result in a seamless reliable 301 redirect for all URLs for one year when the upgrade has to be renewed.

Geesh, $100 per year just so a name I have points to a WordPress blog. There’s got to be another way, I just need a CName to point to WordPresses DNS servers. I dont care if the final page says WordPress after the domain, I just want people to redirect from my domain to the blog. For that price I may as well make a landing page, with a blog hyperlink that points to my blog.worldpress.com. Unless there’s an easier, more sensible (and less expensive) way?
