Photos Won't Upload!

“Post-processing of the image failed likely because the server is busy or does not have enough resources. Uploading a smaller image may help. Suggested maximum size is 2500 pixels.”

I host a photography website through Bluehost and get this notice all the time. All the time!

How can I get more memory or space on my server so I can upload bigger photo sizes? I have the “Disable BIG FILES plugin and Add On Server, but neither one works!

Any advice? I’ve tried everything in every forum and I’m not good at programming / coding at all.

    THANK YOU! <3

    Hi there!

Since your site is not hosted with (it is a site using the open-source WordPress software, from, but hosted with Bluehost), you’ll want to reach out to them directly about it or write on the community forums:

Because and are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between software and here: is also a great resource for sites using the open-source software.
