When I try to post new photos to my blog, I get a message that there is not enough space. I have already deleted photos from older posts to allow for new ones, and hate doing this. I have been on WordPress since 2010. How do I get more space?

To keep things running quickly around here, files are held in multiple caches through a separate system. These caches are usually cleared within 3 days and the files will then become 404 page not found.

Additionally, the Personal plan includes another 3GB of storage (total 6GB).
Besides upgrading here, you can open a free CloudUp account and it comes with around 200 GB of space. You can then embed your images following this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/embedding-media-with-cloudup/
The only things you cannot use external storage for are Featured images in Posts and images used in a Gallery.
Looking at your site, you will want to consider resizing and optimizing your images before you upload them to your site. This not only maximizes your storage space, but also preserves image clarity and speeds up page loading time for your site visitors. That last one is very important for search engine rankings.
Unless your images are meant to be downloaded for printing, no image on your site really needs to be larger than 1600-1800 pixels at the widest. The exception is if your theme requires a wider featured image. Anything larger than those dimensions is eating up your storage space unnecessarily.
Here’s information on resizing and optimizing: https://en.support.wordpress.com/media/image-optimization/
(I’ve gotten good results from jpegmini.com which has both a free online service and a paid program. NA-YMMV)
