Overstream

    Hi!:

    I just sent via the feedback at my Dashboard the suggestion for overstream (http://www.overstream.net) to be included into the list of “accepted embeds” (sorry, couldn’t come up with a better name) like youtube or google video.

    Overstream is a system that enables the user to put subtitles to an already existing youtube or google video, and embed the result via a player (just like youtube) wherever the user wants, or to be seen at the very same overstream website. I suggest this because I use this service but haven’t been able to post my subtitled works (mostly translations) on my new shiny WordPress blog because it won’t let me embed because of WordPress.com policies (which I’m mostly OK with). My blog for example is entirely in Spanish and some of the people that read it don’t know a word of English, so I like to post youtube videos with subtitles so thay can understand better. I think the inclusion of overstream would be useful for lots of bloggers that use languages different than English.

    And here is the same translation inserted into a website of Aviation of mine all in Spanish as well the same way I’d like to be able to insert it into my WordPress blog should I need to:

    What do you think of this suggestion?

    Well I copied and pasted the basic facts and the links from the message I sent via the dashboard… is that OK?
    I’m quite a newbie with WordPress.

    yeah, it’s fine. :-)

    Folks don’t usually realize that the forums are really not monitored by staff and we tell them to send in a feedback and use the ideas subforum to drum up support.
