Only most recent 7 posts in each category showing
-
On the theme I am using, Suburbia, when I got to each category, I can only see the first 7 posts, and usually there is an option to click ‘older posts’ which takes me to another page.
This has now disappeared, so how can people navigate to older posts?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

How many posts have you set to display here > Settings > Reading?
Normally in most themes the number of posts your set to display on the main page for blogs is the same number that will appear on Archives, Categories and Tags pages as well. -
-
I have just checked those settings, and it says that max posts to display is 10, but it always used to show all of them if you clicked OLDER POSTS.
Now anyway it shows just 7 one ach category. On one category, I have over 30 posts, yet now if someone looks at that category, they think I have 7?
I have the ‘scroll infinitely’ box ticked, which limits everything to 7. Do you think this is a problem? It never used to make a difference.

As the theme is not performing as it did before I’ll tag this thread for a Themes Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

OK, thanks.
Please take a look at this link for an example.
http://backpackerlee.wordpress.com/category/thailand/I see only a smily face at the bottom of the page, with no option to look at older posts.
I am now noticing it is the same on my TAGS pages. Only the first 7 posts appear in the gallery.

The smiley indicates your stats are being recorded. You’re right though, there is no older posts button.

@Staff
There are several bloggers reporting this issue now. I have directed those using Suburbia to post into this thread. However, there is a blogger using Wu Wei with the same issue here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/in-wu-wei-theme-can-not-see-all-posts-in-category?replies=2 -
I using the theme Suburbia in my blog. Usually it shows 4 posts on the first line, and then 5 post on each line under the first one. Today when I checked into my blog the column to the right is white (blank). Each line is showing one post less then usually. Can anyone explane this?
You will find my blog at http://biomedicinskanalytiker.wordpress.com

NO UPDATES. NOTHING. No responses to the several threads that are reporting the same issue. Why? This is a huge problem and my viewership is going down because my readers cannot navigate. My blog is
http://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.comhow do we get the staff to notice this issue????

Hi there,
I’m sorry for the trouble. We’re working on expanding the Infinite Scroll feature, but it looks like there’s a bug with it in the Suburbia theme. I’ve reported this issue to our team so they can take a look, and we’ll update you as soon as we have more information.

Hi there,
This issue in the Suburbia theme is now fixed. You may need to refresh your browser or clear your browser’s cache to see the fix. Please let me know if you have any further trouble with this!
-
I cleared my browser´s cache and logged out from WordPress. I logged in again, but it is all the same problem with my blog. Can you please check it?
You will fins my blog here: Biomedicinsk Analytiker.

I only show 5 items per category – the older post link is there, but I would like to have more show up at a time, instead of having my readers always click on older posts..I am using The Nishita Theme. http://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

I see your blog’s category pages working just fine, for example here:
http://biomedicinskanalytiker.org/category/forelasningar/
Can you please send me a link to a page that isn’t working? Also, can you please let me know what browser (including the version number) you’re using?
This forum thread is about the Suburbia theme. Since you’re using a different theme, can you please start a new forum thread with your question? Thanks!

@rachelmcr my problem is that the amount of posts are wrong. On the main page I have one sticky post now. There are supposed to be one sticky post, and two normal posts. I just have one normal post. At the row under there are supposed to be 5 posts, I have 4.
The categories seem to work fine now. But I really need WordPress to solve the issue with how the blog looks, the amount of posts in each line. Thanks
-
When you have Infinite Scroll enabled, 7 posts are loaded at a time. The first post on the page is the sticky post, and your normal posts come after it. As you scroll down, 7 more posts will be added to the page, and so on.
If that isn’t working correctly, please make a screenshot of what you see. You can upload screenshots to your Media Library under Media > Add New in your dashboard, or you can use an online service like Snaggy.
Please also tell me what browser you are using (including the version number). You can check that here if you aren’t sure: http://supportdetails.com/
