Hey um I’m new and i looked on the FAQs and it said on there to get this: http://odeo.com/audio/13140093/view and then do something else i dont remember but where do i put it? I really need help!

actually, i’ve had a number of people who have tried to do this and while it works while they’re still logged into their odeo accounts, they get a NaN error once they log out and go to the page that the audio should be on.

The player appears but the audio doesn’t play / show.

Perhaps they need to share their problems with odeo staff and wordpress.com staff so a solution can be found.

I don’t have this problem, and I’m hardly ever signed into my Odeo account. One thing I have noticed is that the WP.com odeo player wants the URL of the song IN the podcast, not the URL of the song on its own.

No, you cannot. For the sidebar, use the Sonific or LastFM widgets.
