  my theme is canape but on-site it shows the different home page

  Have you chosen the page you wish to first display to visitors at Design/Customize/Homepage settings? Your site is using the Canape theme. Perhaps you need to add some more content to your site so you can get it to look more like the demo. Setup instructions are here: https://wordpress.com/theme/canape
