non responsive editing and loss of work

I have two
can someone please take a look at my website. I have two problems. On one website the page is slow and unresponsive. When I try to use the classic editor it doesn’t work at all. Images I delete keep reappearing as well. On the second website I have just had a whole days work disappear. When I click on ‘edit’ all I get is a version of the site from several months ago and I cant see it in the history. Thanks. -

I had been working on it yesterday then the page suddenly blanked out. When I went back to it all there was was an old version of the site from a moth ago. I can’t seem to find the work I did yesterday even though the images I uploaded are still there in the media folder.

It sounds like autosave might have failed, in which case it might not be possible to recover the content, but if we know which post/page this happened on we can take a look to make sure.

I see the option to switch back to the classic editor on that site:
That’s when creating a new post at https://wordpress.com/block-editor/post/soulboytales.wordpress.com
I also don’t see the image delete issue you’re describing.
That, along with autosave not working on your other site, points to this being a problem with your browser.
Please check if you still see this issue if you clear your browser cache, or if you use a completely different browser.
The one post on that site is also extremely long, which could also be a contributing factor. Are you just editing that post and continually adding new information? If so, I’d recommend against doing that, as that’s now how WordPress is designed to work.
WordPress is designed for new updates to always be published as their own individual posts. That way the newest information always appear right at the top of the front page where everyone will see it, your subscribers can be notified that there has been a new update, and search engines are notified to come and index the new content.
If you just add new content onto an existing post, your subscribers don’t know about it, search engines don’t know about it, and the new content does not appear in the WordPress.com Reader where people can discover it.

On the first website has only one page which I have been working on. You say autosave might have failed but I have been working on the site all week and saving it. When I come back it is there. I don’t understand why yesterday it suddenly reverted back to a month old version and I can’t find the stuff that has been saved over the last 2 weeks. It’s as if it’s been deleted. The autosave has been working perfectly well up until yesterday at least. The images I have uploaded during the week as I say are still there in the media folder but the writing on the post has vanished.On the second site when I switch back to classic editor I cannot type or highlight anything. It doesn’t work. The image delete issue (New editor) is when I upload images they seem to go to the bottom of the page instead of where I want them to go unlike in the classic version where they appear in the region I have clicked on. When I delete images they disappear but the next time I logon they are back. Thanks for the info on editing and the page is rather long. These issues, though still appear when I clear the cache and when I use different browsers. I have tried 3 browsers so far. Thanks.

Looking at the site and page in question, I can see it has quite a bit of information and media added to it. It’s lengthy. The last autosave was by vicblack, 15 hours ago (February 6, 2020 @ 23:16:36).
When you go to this view do you see the missing information?

Thanks for the response . No I don’t. That is the information from the old site. All the information posted in the last two weeks has disappeared. The new images used on the site were uploaded feb 4th and feb 6 when I was working on the site. I added those images to the post which was updating perfectly well on the 6th. Everything I added on those two days has now suddenly vanished but the images are still there in the media folder. The information visible is over a month old. How is that possible?

Are you sure you weren’t working on a different site?

There is only one site with just. This is the site. dated Jan 3rd As you will see there is still information on there. I was working on it gradually. The images uploaded on the site 4th/5th feb are still right there in the media folder but the rest is missing.

How were you writing the posts? Was it in one of the apps, or directly on WordPress.com?

I unfortunately don’t see a trace of anything like that at https://acidjazzisculturalappropriation.wordpress.com just the uploads.
Were you connected to the internet when writing the posts?
Sorry the seemingly obvious question, but I’m a bit at a loss, because I do want to believe you, but we have no record of the posts every existing on both the site and in its logs.

Um well yes I was connected to the Internet. The Photographs were placed on the website. I worked on the website during the week. On the 4th, 5th and 6th. Each time I came back the information was still there. On the 6th the page suddenly blanked out. Then It reverted to the old version. How can there be no trace of it the page was updating. There should at least be a record of the 4th/5th. Is there no backup system, there must be a way of finding out if something has been deleted, the times I have logged on to account and how long I spent on word press, when I logged out etc. Why would anyone upload pictures into the media folder and not place them on the page?
I have to say this is the second time this has happened. The reason there is so much information on the other site is because the information on the other site also suddenly vanished so i added even more controversial but truthful information . I actually spoke to you guys about it. This information has been deleted elsewhere as mentioned that unfinished blog. I’m not accusing anyone but it’s very strange that information has now on two separate occasions suddenly vanished from both sites. On both occasions the same thing happened. One minuet I was working on the site then the next minute the page blanked out and information was deleted. -
Im figuring only certain select amount of people have user rights to delete things from your servers/logs.The actions of such people should easily traceable. As I state on the blog, Bing search engine deleted the blog from their servers without informing me then tried to delete it again before restoring it when they realised the publicity that it will will bring should legal proceedings be initiated against them and or Jamiroquai/acid jazz records. This suggests they have a criminal insider or someone working for them,assisting them in censoring truthful information. Assisting people in covering up their criminal actions. Music lists have been deleted by people working for these criminals on youtube and on certain music forums. A person involved has deleted his picture from his company website and is not taking enquieries realising what could happen in terms of publicity if charges are pressed. I believe two media articles in support of these criminals have suddenly been deleted as the people who wrote them realise that If I pursue legal action they will be implicated and named in court proceedings or it might cause them embarrassment.
Unless i’m missing something work has been deleted from wordpress servers.TWICE. One the first occasion I threatened to initiate legal action against Jamiroquai and acid jazz records suspecting them of having hacked the site. I know they have tried to attack the site. You can still see the evidence and what I wrote on my profile. (This matter will be handed over to the Metropolitan police.) I decided not to initiate legal action and instead have dared them to sue. They are fully aware of the site and the information contained therein. The information is libelous. Were it untrue do you think for a moment that their lawyers would not have initiated action against me? You can go to prison in England for such an offense. They can’t sue though because what I say is true and a case is being prepared against them. Criminal harassment in the U.K is taken very very seriously. This is not a small story and if I initiate legal action against people mentioned in the blog they will lose and may even end up in jail. Their “celebrity” status will not protect them here in England.

If it is felt that the subject matter is too controversial for word press then I can move the site somewhere else and complete it. I have no problem with wordpress or the excellent service it provides but I would be very grateful if someone could offer me an explanation or give me some idea as to how my work has suddenly vanished from wordpress servers now on two separate occasions. That looks familiar. That’s the one. Dated 6th Feb, Yes that’s it. Thank you for finding it and things appear resolved in so far as I have gotten a month of work back. not that you or anyone at wordpress has to answer any of my questions. But where did it go? do you have any idea why my work has twice suddenly blanked out, and then dissapeared from the history “with no trace”?

As one of my colleagues stated, it may had to do with an autosave error, internet going out briefly when trying to save, or things like this may happen when you have the same post open in different tabs/windows. Hard to trace exactly what happened in this instance since the revision was able to be retrieved, but I am glad that you were able to get your content back.
Let us know if you have any other trouble moving forward.

Finally I note that now I am now suddenly able to highlight and type using the classic editor on the other site whereas before it wouldn’t work at all. It’s no longer stalling and unresponsive. And the update is working properly whereas before it worked when it felt like it. It also no longer keeps jumping to the top of the page when I try and copy and paste something.
