I’m from India and want to upgrade my free plan to Personal plan but while making the payment I get an error saying the payment is declined (I tried to pay through State bank of India Global Debit card). I have account in PAYPAL but in “Manage Purchases” there is no Paypal option available or internet banking is also not there. Kindly help. I do not possess a credit card.

The blog I need help with is ocdfreeindia.wordpress.com.

If you are referring to purchasing a plan found here https://wordpress.com/pricing/ please read what follows.

The only accepted means of payment are in this support doc.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/payment/

WordPress.com uses PayPal as the payment processor, and as such, can only accept payment from countries they support: https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/

If for whatever reason, they have chosen to block payment from your country, you will not be able to purchase an upgrade here unless you have a source of payment outside of your country. Note: You can buy a prepaid credit card from an approved country.

In addition to major credit cards Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, and PayPal https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/ WordPress.com can accept echecks and some debit cards.

The debit card must have a VISA or Mastercard symbol on it, and should work just like a credit card when selecting the VISA or Mastercard option on the payment form, even though it’s a debit card.

    More about echecks here:
    https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/helpcenter/article/?solutionId=13054&topicID=11500008&m=TCI

NOTE: Payments for WordPress.com subscriptions are recurring you will still need a card connected to your PayPal account, even if you have funds in that account. See also: Payments Using a PayPal Account

If you have a valid card that meets the criteria above post the exact error message you receive here. Then type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help. Hi @gouravkundu, sorry about that. I don’t think we currently have a way to take rupees though PayPal, but I know we’re working on more options for you there.
