no 'categories & tags' button

Add topic to favorites
Hi
I am finding each stage of WordPress very frustrating. I would like to add tags to my blog, but I don’t have a ‘Categories & Tags’ button. I have gone to ‘Post Settings’ – where I have ‘Status’ & ‘Featured Image’, etc, but no ‘Categories & Tags’!

If you could help me please, I would be very grateful.

Hi @fizzycloud,

I don’t see a screenshot attached to your post but the WordPress.com support team was able to open your account and see the “Categories & Tags” option there under “Post Settings”. Here’s a link to the screenshot they took: http://cld.wthms.co/pjBvHA

Is it possible that you are looking under “Page Settings” and not “Post Settings”? There’s a great article about tags and how to add them to posts, the article shows two different ways to add tags, here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/tags/
