no analytics tracking

Hi, I have an issue with getting analytics tracking on my site. I tried with the Google analytics plugin but it didn’t show any tracking even though I did put the code in the header.php. Now I tried with Monsterinsights plugin, which I hear is more simple to use and it still does not track my traffic even though I know there is traffic because I got some comments on the site and people messaging me outside WordPress about it. Please help me solve this issue! Thank you!
