  First, I have a Mac. I signed up for wordpress. I downloaded the newest version and unzipped it. However, I can’t seem to see where my wordpress has been upgraded. Where do I check for that? Also, I got the email with my API key code. It said that it was activated but I thought you had to put the key code in.

  If you are using the downloaded version of wordpress then you are in the wrong forum and you need to inquire over at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ which is where the self-hosted version of wordpress is supported.
