You can use your godaddy domain for a WordPress.com site by mapping it to the site, this guide explains how: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
You also have the option to transfer your domain to WordPress.com, if you wish to keep everything under the same roof. This guide explains how you can make that happen: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
In both cases you need have upgraded WordPress.com plan.
