New interface for new posts doesn't allow you to delete before posting
-
I have a WordPress.com blog, and I noticed that the format for new posts changed a few weeks ago. The old format, which I liked, had an option to delete a post before you published it. I liked this option because sometimes the post would get screwed up after adding pictures, and it was quicker to just delete it and start over than it was to try to fix it. I notice, however, that the option is gone with the new interface, and now you have no choice but to post it. Is there any way to delete a post before it’s been posted? I have my blog linked to MailChimp, and I would prefer to avoid the embarrassment of having a badly formatted post. Thanks.

Hi there,
For clarification on what’s been fixed, what we are working on, and which features from WP-admin are not being included in the new editor see here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/please-reinstate-the-option-of-choice-to-use-the-old-publishing-format/page/32?replies=943#post-2338964Although we cannot deactivate the new Beep Beep Boop editor and make the classic editor our default we do not have to the new editor. I don’t use it at all. For locating the ways and means of accessing the legacy or classic pages for creating posts, editing posts, and viewing stats see here > Navigating the Classic WordPress.COM interface
