New Gutenberg editing

    I’ve been using the old version for a long time, and while I deal with change everyday, I am not a professional blogger. I am a person who has a more than full-time job, blogging is only about 5% of what I do. While I would like to do it better, there’s not a lot of time to do more. So – you can tell, I am not likely to need many / any of the bells and whistles you’re adding.

    I looked at the Gutenberg info briefly this morning. My first thought was – why are none of the icons I see labeled with words. I read, but I am icon challenged. To have to hover over each icon to see what it means is fruitless. Will there be viewable words over those icons? Please say yes.

    I prefer a toolbar just like the one I have now. It looks like a Microsoft Word toolbar and that’s all I need. While your message said that the old version (and I’m using the really old version) will be available, it sounded like you didn’t want to provide that plugin. BTW, the Plug icon was the only one I understood. And, I don’t understand plugins at all. I need the WordPress for dummies version – and expect that there are more people like me than like blog developers.
