Need to Recover other account

    Hi there,

I need to recover log in info for another account. I thought I had created it under this account, but turns out not.

This is the website in question:

    Home

It’s for a roleplay I’m in the midst of creating. I need to get in touch with wordpress to recover my username and email that’s associated with this — I’m fairly sure I’ll be able to recall the password once I have that information. Is this possible?

If this isn’t possible, is it possible to request this site be shut down?

Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.

You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard. The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:

    http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

    * You will have to replace “name_of_blog” with the actual blog’s name in that URL.

After the blog’s owner logs in clicking this link should display all blogs registered under the same username account, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden

If the blog’s owner does not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then they need to follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility

If the log-in information is lost they need to visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

If you do not have the required access you need to contact the person who registered the account and sites under them and have them transfer the sites to your username account by using this process. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

If you check each and every possible email address and account and are not successful gaining access to the blog(s) then you must complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff, and provide proof ownership, so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums, which are available to everyone with internet access.

Support Staff cannot breach the privacy policy and provide the log-in information. You have to provide proof ownership to Account Recovery Staff to gain access https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

If you cannot provide proof ownership to Account Recovery Staff, so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums, which are available to everyone with internet access, then you have reached a dead end.

    re: username recovery
That’s a not possible if you changed your username.

Once you change your username you will not be able to change it back and the old name will not be available for you or anyone to use. If you just want to show your name differently please only change your Display Name. https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/

I’m not trying to change my username. I have this account, under which are four individual wordpress.com websites. I am trying to recover a username for another account — the illaran website is under this other account username/email.

    Ie.

This account is the “Kae McCrae” account and I have four separate blog sites under this account.

I need to recover the username and email for the OTHER account, under which is the illaran.wordpress.com site

I can’t submit an account request, because I don’t have the email address associated with the account (the whole problem), so I don’t have verification for the account. As such, I can’t submit the form.

I also don’t want ALL of the account information. Just the username/email that’s associated with the account. I have the password for the account, but not the username. I have a feeling I created a NEW email for this site specifically, and it’s been a couple of months since I did that.

There just seems to be a serious hole with username/email recovery on WordPress…there’s no direct way to contact them, hm? Are there any mods on these forums that help out with topics that the public can’t help with?

We have just one means of account recovery:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
    https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

Support Staff cannot breach the privacy policy and provide the log-in information. You have to provide proof ownership to Account Recovery Staff to gain access https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

When we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve like this one we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads. I did that for you. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then we subscribe to this thread so we are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

    Hi there,

Your email address is the primary form of proof that you own an account. We cannot give you the email address, as that is what we need you to give us to prove your ownership. As @timethief said, you will need to use the account recovery form for this.

If you don’t have any of the verification info needed by the form, the other option is to try out all the different email addresses you have on the password reset form. If you have an account at any given email address we’ll send a password reset link to that address. Make sure you are logged out of this account when you try that.
