Need CSS help with removing author from Zuki posts
-
Hi there. I am a new purchaser/user to the Zuki theme. My newest blog is private until I’m ready to launch it on Monday, Nov. 3.
Dilemma: all of the posts say “written by Hospitality Shero”. That is simply not the case. I will be posting a lot of articles that are written by others, as well. I want them to get the credit right away and readers not have to read to the end to see the author bio.
I know absolutely NOTHING about CSS, although I did buy the CSS upgrade package mainly for the fonts and colors. The rest is a mystery to me.
Help!
Thanks in advance!
Erica

If you set them up as contributors on your site, and they sign in and the add their post under their username, then their username will show up where it says “written by…” WordPress is set up to work well with multiple authors.
We can remove that line with CSS, but then you would have to put in a text byline right at the top of each posts content,
See this support page for more on roles and setting up others as contributors or authors.

Ah, sorry about that. They have used a different CSS selector on the single post pages. Modify the rule I gave you above to look like the below to get rid of the author in both places.
.entry-details, .entry-author { display: none; }

Hi there, I have the same issue but I can’t seem to change it using the CSS. Could you help me out my blog is http://www.hashtag500words.com

I believe you are hoping to get rid of by #500 words – Comments 0 that appears for the each post under Reviews and Interviews section? If so, then please try the following CSS:
.entry-author, .entry-comments { display: none; }

Hi chaitanyamsv!
That’s exactly what I’m trying to do! But that CSS did not work either. Any other ideas?

@lanalopesi and @2018hsltriathlon,
On a closer look, it appears there is another CSS rule with higher specificity.
Could you try the following and let me know how it goes:
.rp-medium-one-content .entry-author, .rp-medium-one-content .entry-comments { display:none; }

Perfect thank you! Now is there a way I can remove it from the featured posts? http://www.hashtag500words.com
-
no worries, my pleasure :-)
could you please try the following CSS to remove entry date and comments from the featured posts:
#featured-content .entry-date, #featured-content .entry-comments { display:none; }
-
Also add
, #featured-content .entry-author
before{
if you want to hide the post’s author name beneath the featured post title. -
