My username does not link to my main blog

    Hi,

    I recently started a new blog with new username at a new email address. After using it for a while, I felt that I should abandon my new account (the email it’s under is temporary) and transfer to my old account. However, the main blog I used to use at my old account, I deleted.

    Now my username on the forums and elsewhere does not link to my main blog now (bibliorama.wordpress.com) it links to my old blog (crownedwithlaurel.wordpress.com) that no longer exists.

    Um… help!

    You need to change it.
    1. Go to your Profile page and click this link >
    “Were you looking for your API Key and other Personal Settings?” When the page opens locate this > “Primary Blog” slect the new blog and scroll down to click “Save Changes”.

    2. Go into your dashboard > Users > Personal Settings > then scroll down to ‘Account Details’. In the spot where it says ‘website’ replace the URL for the deleted blog with the URL for the blog you want your username to link to starting with htt:// of your blog and save the changes.

    I’m so sorry I botched this in my original comment above and cannot delete what I posted there. I’m sure Staff will help you sort this. It’s our email addresses that we register our accounts and blogs under that are the “unique identifier” at worpress.com. Best wishes for happy blogging. :)

    I am really confused. I have the same problem. My main account is bboyneko and clicking my username takes you to the blog bboyneko.wordpress.com

    I dont want that to be my main blog! I want people who click on my name to go to carbonatoms.wordpress.com

    I dont understand how the transfer blog feature will help me?

    never mind I fixed it, it was under global dashboard > profile > personal settings
