My site is gone :(
-
I began building my new site this last month and put quite some time into it. Note: I did delete my previous blog, then started building the new one, which I did assign the same URL. I did not get a warning that said I could not use the same URL. In fact, it let me proceed for a few days building my site (published and live) as I worked on it.
Today I went back to work on it further. Nothing is there. Not even in the back end. Can someone explain what happened? Was it because when I deleted my original one and it did not take effect until a few days later, then what it deleted was the new one I had worked because it had the same URL? If so why on earth would it allow me to name the second site the same URL?
This is the message I get when I go the URL:
lissetbecker.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.I am super bummed. I have worked with so many word press sites and maintain several. I have not had anything like this happen.
I am sure I have to rebuild it and I would hate to have this happen to one of my clients sites.
Thanks for your time and feedback.

http://lissetbecker.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.Oh no! You ignored all the warnings and it’s too late now.
You cannot register any deleted blog URL. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and it must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click. Once the verification link for deletion is clicked the blog URL is forever gone, gone, gone.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

OMG I was totally wrong. I forgot I set up the new site under a different profile and it’s all in tact. I feel so dumb, and thrilled at the same time. Yes I did delete the first site entirely before building the new one, but decided to use a new profile for the new one…. just forgot I did that.
Thank you anyway. Please delete this topic ;)

My wordpress site is gone. ship59frederick.org – I ran it through scoutsite.net (which it is automatically forwarded to now) and am uncertain if it can be recovered and moved or if I need to recreate the entire site. Please advise.

I’m sorry but we cannot provide accurate answers to any blogger who fails to provide the exact URL starting with http:// for the exact blog they refer to so we can verify where it is hosted. Please do that now.

@joecharlebois
We do not provide support for forwarding. It’s unreliable, and not recommended and we cannot help you with any issues you create by using it. -

That site is not hosted by WordPress.COM and we do not provide support for it.
sun-techbuilders.com is hosted by Unified Layer (hostgator)
Name Servers:
ns6116.hostgator.com
ns6115.hostgator.comContact the web host. WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.
