My feature image won't show up.

I’m trying to upload the image in the ‘feature image’ section and there’s a ? mark in the jpeg area. It won’t work on my end. Please let me know. Thank you. Cheers, Cristina

Not all themes have featured images. Those that do have that feature require images of specific dimensions. Please consult this support doc: Find Themes Supporting Featured Images https://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#find-themes-supporting-featured-images
If your theme does have that feature see Setting a Featured Image
https://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-imageFor accepted file types for uploading see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/accepted-filetypes/
Are you running a browser and version of it found at http://browsehappy.com? If not, upgrade.
Have you tried dragging an image straight from your desktop or computer’s image folder and drop it directly into your post’s editor?
If you prefer you can click on the Add Media button from the toolbar of your editor to upload an image to your post.

Hi @timethief, thanks for that. Normally you’ll see the theme if you click the three little dots on the action bar at the bottom, but in this case we aren’t seeing it because the theme is retired. I’ve passed that feedback along, since it I can see how it would make it tricky for you to troubleshoot.

Thanks for passing this along. Having to click the action bar link and then the theme name link is already a time wasting double click PITA that did not exist previously when the theme name was in the footer. Maybe you could pass that feedback along too. :)
-
Yeah, I get that. I’ll pass that along. It’s mainly that the theme looks really weird all by itself on Business sites that are now allowed to hide the footer credit. It even looks kinda funny with just the logo.
This is the theme, by the way: https://wuweidemo.wordpress.com/
In this case I found it by viewing the page source and looking for style.css — the theme will show up in the path. And I realize that’s a big ask for you.
Hopefully we won’t run into too many threads where someone needs help with a retired theme, but if you do, please modlook us so we can track that.
-
@supernovia
Aha! It’s Wuwei.Thanks. I know how to do that but there’s no way I’m going to waste my time doing it.
And I realize that’s a big ask for you.
Indeed, I’m a Volunteer with no expectation of every becoming Staff. For that kind of service I think one ought to be on the payroll and there’s no way I want to cross that line. :)
Luckily, I’ve been here so long I recognize almost all retired themes on sight.

If you don’t mind adding a tag to any threads where you can’t (easily) check the theme because it’s retired, we can use that to revisit this issue later.
Thanks again for all you do :)
