My domains not found after deletion

    Dear WordPress.com:

    I paid for a personal plan in 2016 and bought a domain: siqingyu.com
    Then I canceled the plan and deleted my two domains: siqingyu.com and siqingyu.wordpress.com
    But the domains are not available from any domain name providers now.
    I wonder how can I get the siqingyu.com domain back to host my own site. And I may also need the siqingyu.wordpress.com

    Hi there,

    Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future. Only cancel a domain if you’re completely sure you no longer want it at all.

    I can still restore your domain, siqingyu.com, at this point, but it expired on 4 August so you’ll need to pay for its renewal first. Once it’s restored you should then be able to transfer it to another provider, should you want to do that. Please confirm if I should get this process started for you.

    The WordPress.com site, siqingyu.wordpress.com, was deleted more than 30 days ago, on 27 June, and cannot be restored any more. So before we can restore your domain you’ll also need to create a new free WordPress.com site in your account, else you won’t be able to access any of that domain’s settings.

    I bought a .me domain from another provider.
    So thank you, and I don’t need them.
    It would be OK if the domains are recycled and released automatically in the future.
