Mobile looks way too small with theme on iphone
-
Hello,
I’ve tried all of the responsive themes, however on my iphone, they all look way too small, even when I have the mobile option enabled. Google doesn’t even recognize these themes (for me) as being mobile friendly

You are off on a wrong track. The mobile ready theme is default and a completely different theme that you do not need to enable at all when you use a responsive layout theme. https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/responsive-layout/
A responsive layout theme adapts to different screen sizes so that your website will work (and be optimized for) iPhones, iPads, Android and other mobile devices. When responsive width themes are viewed on mobiles sidebars appear below the posts in order to provide as much space as possible for reading.
As I said above the mobile theme is a completely different theme. When we use a responsive theme we disable the mobile theme. Go to > Appearance > Mobile and disable the mobile theme

I’ve done as you said, and it is still very small, and google still does not recognize it as mobile friendly. The theme does change it’s style when viewed on the iphone, however, everything is small as if it’s not a mobile friendly site.
I’ve tried the first theme that pops up from your like Eventbrite
any thoughts?

Hi there!
The reason your site doesn’t respond on mobile devices is because of the way your domain registrar is masking your site in a frame, rather than mapping the site to our servers directly.
To see what I mean, open your site, and view the page source.
Google doesn’t recognize frames as being mobile responsive. Also, mobile devices will normally assume a page width of 960 pixels (or a similar size).
For your site to work on mobile, you’ll need to add the Domain Mapping upgrade to your site, and change the domain settings at your domain registrar to point the name servers to WordPress.com.
We have a step-by-step guide for that here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
I hope that helps! If you have any other questions, please let me know!
