Missing “Post Author” panel?

    Hi! I’m an admin on the WordPress.com blog http://dsbkids.wordpress.com. We have some posts coming from human contributors, and others “authored” by stuffed animals, or mascots. I’ve made wordpress accounts for the mascots and have used the “Post Author” panel on the “edit post” pages to select the correct author for each post (most in draft form, ATM.)

    However, that panel is no longer present, so I cannot do this anymore. Has anyone else had this problem? It would be much preferred to logging in as each individual mascot for editing, especially as the number of them grows as we visit more schools.

    On the edit page, go to the upper right and click screen options and make sure the “author” module is selected.
