Menu for setting featured image disapeared.

I’m not sure how something like that happens. I’ve been blogging for over a year and have more than a couple hundred posts with pictures in them. Today the menu for setting the featured image is completely gone. What can I do to get it back?

Hello,
this error seems to only affect your blog so the problem is probably in your browser. Please try one of the following:
– force refresh your browser (Ctrl + F5 / Cmd + R on Mac)
– clear browser cache
– clear cookiesAlso see this support document:
When none of the solutions work for you, please let us know in this thread.

I tried using a different browser, rebooting my computer, clearing my cash, and ctrl+F5. None of those worked. However, if I switch the theme, then the dialogue box, or menu, or whatever you want to call it, reappears. Then, if I switch back to my theme, which I’ve been using for over a year without a problem, the menu disappears again. I attached a screen shot of the right side of the editing screen, with the missing “set featured image” menu.

supported featured images before. My blog is an art blog and I often have more than one image, and always like to choose which image to feature. It’s a habbit I’ve got in because I don’t like when it chooses a video or something irrelevant, and I even create custom images to use as the theme image (such as graphics with text).
