Matala has lost its "look" on my blog

    I’ve been trying to make changes to my custom header picture as well as add a featured image to one of my pages. Some success on the first using the customizer vs the “old” way, but no luck with the featured image appearing.
    In doing all this I noticed that the torn paper look of Matala seems to have disappeared with the exception of the post’s title and the circled date. Not sure if this is recent but I’d like the complete look on my site. I’ve always had a custom header and background and lately use firefox.

    Please be aware there is no such thing as a theme reset button on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. Whatever you change in Appearance is what you have to undo yourself, to restore the theme to the way it was before you changed it.

    Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Background
    Remove the background image you uploaded and remove any background color you set there and the original graphic display will reappear.

    Thanks. I didn’t realize how much of the theme’s background had or would disappear when I used a custom background. Some of it remains so that is confusing.
