Just checked the WP blog, and my comment never appeared there. Didn’t see any comments that weren’t pro-changes. http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2015/01/02/start-blogging-2015/

Your comment is awaiting moderation.I question the use of the word “smoothly” when the major changes to the dashboard/Stats page have been anything but smooth, not to mention the “too-blue-to-use” BBB editor, all of which I never use.
These changes may be helpful to those using mobiles/tablets, but for us bloggers using a desktop computer with a wide screen all the scrolling makes for an unpleasant blogging experience.
Many of the features we have been used to having have been eliminated, including the time on the “new” Stats page; no bulk edit on the “new” blog posts page; and all WP pages are too blue to use. I prefer the old administrative pages where we can choose the colors and it doesn’t remind me of Facebook.
Happy New Year. I will continue using the old classic administrative pages and hopefully they will not be eliminated.

It says it’s under moderation. I didn’t see yours or Timethief’s or any that had dissenting comments. Even if they do get approved, who is going to be reading the old post?

I too put a comment on WP Blog, on 2nd Jan at 7.21pm, which was simply a link to this thread. It’s still in moderation even though more recent comments have been published. Anything in moderation, other than our own comments, would not be seen by anyone.
Just now, I left another comment, telling them what I think of their journalistic ethics.

I’m not sure “journalistic ethics” is quite the right term. It’s a corporate blog with the primary purpose of doing PR. Anyone with half a brain knows to check a less biased information source. If WP is getting a high proportion of negative feedback even after writing a glowing report and publishing only the positive reactions, that might have an effect on them.

On the topic of business, I have a hypothesis about the narrow stat page width and the “beep beep boop” screen. How much revenue could WordPress bring in if they were to put ads on the stats page, even if it’s just for the people who aren’t paying customers? How much would a company pay to advertise in the “beep beep boop” slot once people are used to having the time lapse before composing their posts? Just because Mr. Mullenweg says that the company’s aim is to expand into mobile does not make it a true or complete account. That’s not a riff against Mullenweg specifically; CEO’s have been known to fudge information when talking to the public.

It has nothing to do with it being the weekend. Many, many comments have been approved and are posted after I and others have made our comments. It’s deliberate on WP’s part to NOT show our comments with our disapproval of their forced “new” changes.

It’s rather simple – WP needs to remember if the ‘improved posting experience’ misnomer is clicked so it doesn’t have to happen every single time a post is edited.
Make it a toggle in settings. The displeasure with the new format is clear.
Admittedly I didn’t read all 15 pages of this thread. Hope I’m not the only one who sees the simplicity of the solution.

They’re not going to allow a few (hundred? thousand?) malcontents like us ruin the perception that “improved user experience” is anything but.
I’d love to see the poll results; I suspect that WP’s silence on that matter is indicative of the fact that a large number of users reject the new UI and it’s inefficient, stripped-down design (but at least we now have trophy cases because . . . some bloggers apparently need that kind of validation).
On an unrelated note; a number of us are experiencing issues with files appearing in galleries and media libraries. I hope this is merely a server issue and not a harbinger of more “improvements” to come.

I also made a comment on the “start blogging 2015” thread, criticizing the new stats page. The comment is still showing as “under moderation”, even after newer comments have been posted.
It’s a very poor strategy for WP to pretend that criticism isn’t happening or to actively suppress it. It would be much more productive for the criticism to be acknowledged and responded to, especially when it might contain useful information that could benefit WP.

I’m sorry to hear that you are being censored in the Blog. There’s no reason to do so except to maintain the fiction that the recent changes are welcome by all. From the Blog’s Comment Guidelines:
We want the WordPress.com blog to be a place not just for news, but for a conversation. We love to hear what you think about new features, stats, and events. We love to engage with you. After all, it’s the interaction between writer and reader that makes blogging so awesome.
I do not see that dandelionsalad’s comment (posted here) violates any of the terms of the guidelines.
I also posted a critical comment, we’ll see if it is approved. If not, total number of censored commenters from this thread alone will number six.
This censorship is completely counter to the stated goal that “We love to hear what you think about new features…”

Like many here, I find the new dashboard to be inefficient and, frankly, unpleasant to use on a desktop computer. I look forward to continuing to use WordPress as my web hosting and blogging platform of choice.
Unfortunately, the mobile-centric nature of the “improved” dashboard, with its narrow column and hidden or stripped-down features, will detract from the experience.

I am still waiting for someone from WP to explain how all the “improvements” are actually improving anything. What is enhanced? If someone actually tried to spell it out, I feel like I could at least try to come to grips with what they are attempting to do. Instead, it is obfuscation, silence and censorship. This is not an encouraging direction for any organization to be headed in.

Are you aware that seven bloggers here have had comments blocked on this post?
As of right now, @timethief, @grahaminhats, @dandelionsalad, @diaryofdennis, @fionamcquarrie, myself, and @galois all have posted comments critical of the recent changes, and none of our comments have been approved.
I, for one, consider the “non-approval” of these critical comments to be an exercise in censorship.

I also have a comment (posted above) awaiting moderation, so that’s at least 8 of us. I fail to see how any of our comments violate the listed policies—even if we do rain on their parade.

galois, it’s not because of the weekend as most of the comments that have been approved are dated later on Jan. 2, Jan. 3 and Jan. 4. There were 10 comments approved ahead of my comment on Jan. 2, now there are 48 comments on the post.

Censhorship
I agree with all. Censorship is only used by those who know they are in the wrong. It amounts to an admission of failure.
