MAPPING DOMAINS
-
My nameservers are not updating, how can I get the mapping from thecreditgoddess.wordpress.com to be on live at http://www.thecreditgoddess.com (registrant godaddy)? I changed the nameservers over 72 hours ago. I’m just very impatient.
Blog url: http://thecreditgoddess.wordpress.com/The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Just changing the name servers won’t work – you did not map the domain
You need to follow these instructions

What I’ve done is changed my nameservers and listed that go daddy would be hosting the site like it stated to do in map the exsisting domain. I am to wait now I suppose.. I did my best to read the article thouroughly but if I am still missing something can you explain what it is?

You are asking about two different things
If you are hosting at Godaddy then you need to have the name servers point to Godaddy and you need to have your site at Godaddy set up and mapped there – you need to work with Godaddy for that
If you want to map to your site here at WordPress.COM (thecreditgoddess.wordpress.com) then you need to point the name servers to WordPress.COM and follow the rest of the instructions I gave you above.
So what do you really want to do?? I am confused

I apologize.
What I want to do is take my blog from wordpress and make it ‘live’ so to say from my domain from godaddy. Unfortunately I did not know that you could make the purchase through wordpress until after I established the site.
I am currently just working on the blog, but I would like all my traffic taken from my blog to my http://www.thecreditgoddess.com. Therefore it appears to be not just a blog?
Is that more clear. I’m not super savvy just a beginner.

Don’t delete your WordPress.COM blog – buy the Site Redirect and that will send all the traffic to your new site thecreditgoddess.com. – that will also help train search engines to index your new site and take your old site out of their search results

I don’t want to delete it. I want to still have both URL’s working. I just want my traffic redirected to my domain with godaddy, so not everyone knows that it is a wordpress blog..

I have mapped my domain successfully. I am curious now though since my domain http://www.thecreditgoddess.info is my primary (temp) and I have to pay for domain mapping on the http://www.thecreditgoddess.com (primary not yet with domain mapping $13), when I pay for the domain mapping on the .com I just switch it like I did with the .info.
My question is this though, should I create another blog or page to where I can use both the .info and the .com, primarily once I pay for the mapping a second time for the .com I would want to still use the .info just not as the primary.
Hope that is clear enough.
Thanks for all your help!
