  I want to have a map of places in my neighbourhood where people are gardening in public spaces. I set up this self hosted site – https://balgf.org/ – which is quite similar, with a map plug in, where clicking on icons takes users to pages about a site with a contact form for the site. To replicate this, will I need WordPress.org?

  Hi there,

  I believe the map block would be able to address much of what you are looking to do, albeit without the visual flair of the one you referenced:

  https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/map-block/

  With the map block, you can add simple location markers. However, if you are looking for something more intricate, or are looking to use the same or similar plugin on your WordPress.com site, those features require the Business Plan:

  http://wordpress.com/business
