Lost in the endless WordPress run around of 'support'
-
I just want to access an individual who can help. Here’s what’s up: 1) I can’t login, 2) password recovery does not work as I don’t receive the email from WordPress, 3) I don’t have any of the three required pieces of verification for password recovery assistance, 4) I can’t get any further help because I can’t log in.
I have two sites linked to one email, which may be an issue here. I get password recovery information for one site, but not the other (the one I need).
More than anything I just want to get out of the stupid hamster wheel of what WordPress calls ‘support’. Where do I go for further assistance?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The quick and easy way to get support is to clearly state what you need help with right here in a support forum thread. Then type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Also subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond and be patient while waiting. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.
All support docs are at https://en.support.wordpress.com/
Type in getting help and click search https://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=getting+helpSee: Getting WordPress.com Support https://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/
There is no phone support. Those who have a paid upgrade for a wordpress.COM site can use the “Contact Support” form, http://support.wordpress.com/contact/
The best WordPress.COM contact form to use now for Staff assistance is:
http://wordpress.com/help/contactLive chat will be available there only if we have Happiness Engineers available to chat. When they are not available using that link results in posting to this peer support forum. https://en.support.wordpress.com/live-chat/
re: direct email support
Also note, that you can email WordPress.COM Staff at:

Hi,
2) password recovery does not work as I don’t receive the email from WordPress
Sometimes these emails can end up in spam/junk/social folders. Can you double check there for me?
The blog I need help with is glacierchange.org
glacierchange.org is a self hosted WordPress.org site, not a WordPress.com site. The differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org are explained here:
Just to confirm — are you not receiving the emails when you use the ‘Lost your Password?’ link on glacierchange.org?
I get password recovery information for one site, but not the other (the one I need). I’m logged in to one account (not the one I need assistance with).
You won’t be able to recover your password for glacierchange.org, from your WordPress.com site as the two act independently. We are also not able to help with password recovery for that site as it is self hosted — there is a separate forum for troubleshooting WordPress.org sites here:
https://wordpress.org/support/
However, I can give you a couple of things to look at:
1. Check the spam/junk/social folders in your email
2. Double check the email address you are using for your glacierchange.org site in case it’s different from the one you are checking
Let me know if you manage to find the emails in your junk folder and we’ll go from there.
